This poster by Seymour Chwast was published in the 1967 issue of Pushpin magazine. The theme was faux travel posters, and Visit Dante's Inferno was included as a folded insert.
Seymour Chwast's (b. 1931) signature style and diverse body of work made him one of the defining voices of 60s design and has cemented him as one of America's top contemporary designers. He is a founding partner and director of Pushpin, an irreverent, artist run periodical. His work has been seen in New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, and The Atlantic. You can even catch a glimpse of this very poster on the set of Mad Men's final season.
